Pavel Kachnov and I began our collaborative music making in the Autumn of 2012 with a house concert in the Beethoven Hotel, which would become our regular stage in Vienna. To date, we have given over 250 joint performances. Our repertoire covers the timeline from the Viennese classical era, in particular Ludwig van Beethoven, to high romanticism, as well as virtuoso and popular works of world musical literature. On the occasion of recording this production, I made an arrangement for the rarely performed Romance op. 255 by Johann Strauss, which has become a real revelation in our recent concerts. This album inclu des special highlights of our repertoire. With it, we invite you to experience the atmosphere of the Viennese musical salon.
